Dec 10^th – MLS Cup – Toronto vs. Seattle

Most Rapids fans will probably be rooting for Toronto with ex-Rapids Drew Moor and Clint Irwin

Dec 11^th – 3 hour trade window before Expansion Draft (7am-10am MST)

Dec 12^th – Expansion draft protection lists due, Free Agent list released

Rapids players who would be free agents if options declined or don’t sign a new contract: Burch, Burling, Cronin, Le Toux, Pappa

Dec 13^th – Expansion draft at Noon MST, 3pm MST Free Agents can talk to any team

Dec 14^th – Waiver Draft eligible list released

Dec 15^th – Waiver Draft at Noon MST, Re-Entry Draft Phase 1 eligible list released

                Rapids players who would be Re-Entry eligible if options declined or don’t sign a new contract: Azira, Berner, Howard, Jones, MacMath, Miller, Powers, St. Ledger, Watts

Dec 16^th – Re-Entry Draft Phase 1 at 1pm MST

Dec 21^st – Re-Entry Draft Phase 2 eligible list released

Dec 22^nd – Re-Entry Draft Phase 2 at 1pm MST

Jan 7^th – Player Combine starts

Jan 13^th – 2017 Superdraft.

Rapids currently hold 4 picks, a conditional pick from Toronto to be announced in the 1st round and the 24th (2nd round), 45th (3rd round), and 86th (4th round) picks

Jan 23^rd – Preseason camp opens

Feb 15^th-25^th – Desert Diamond Cup in Tucson, AZ

                Rapids will be one of six MLS teams competing

Feb 18^th (approx.) – Transfer window opens (not yet announced but it was Feb 18 last year)

                Teams can negotiate with players, bring them into camp, and have them play in friendlies/preseason before this date but can’t officially sign them until the window opens

Mar 3^rd-5^th – Probable opening weekend of 2017 season
